bluesea
I have a Vendo 511 that has been recently taken out of storage and put into use. Two or sometimes three of the selections show sold out after a couple of vends even though there is plenty of product (cans) in the machine. The sold out switches will stay in the open position, because there are many cans in that row, yet it will still show sold out. It seems to be an intermittent problem. Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks in advance.
rmorris1953
Once upon a time... Don't laugh really... Had one that checked out and it was doing almost the same thing. It was a bad fuse. The fuse wasn't completely blown and would allow enough current to power the board but not the motors. Could also be something else but it wouldn't hurt to replace fuse. It will check ok with a ohm meter but still be bad.
mojorhino
I have 2 of the Vendo 511's & had a similar issue with one selection doing the same thing you are describing. I am going to assume you have already checked to make the paddles are are properly depressed & you have test vended the columns to ensure they are working & ask this question. Do you recall seeing a little circle on the left side of the display as in the picture below?
AZVendor
You need to ensure that the rear spacers in those columns are holding the cans close enough to the depressed sold out paddle so that you can only fit one finger between the front can and the paddle, while the cans are pushed against the rear spacer. If your columns are okay in that regard then you may have bad motor switches which aren't signaling that the motor is home. This will result in the board reporting those columns as sold out. If you need motor switches you can PM me as I have them in stock.

bluesea
The problem seems to be isolated to one row now. I suspect that is it a bad motor switch. Thanks for all your help.
