BarnettVending
Currently, I am extremely lucky and none of my locations are charity or commission. The people I bought the route from must have had the magic touch or something. Anyway, I was thinking about possible commission scenarios and thought up this idea and wanted to see if anyone has tried it. The numbers and percentages are just an example, so let me know what you have tried and if it has or hasn't worked. I was thinking of offering 10% if the machine made less than $20, 20% for $20-39.75, 25% for 40-75, and 30% for anything bigger. Like I said, the numbers are just an example. I figured this would give the owners added benefit to keep your machine in prime locations, encourage employees and possibly even customers to buy, and whatnot. It may even help convince them to let you upgrade to a rack in the future (if it is a good candidate for that, anyway). Any thoughts?
V4C
If you pull 19.75 from a machine, i'll give you a quarter and take my 20%

I suggest keeping your commission structure as simple as possible. you might be creating alot of questions about how your paying the commission, most location owners dont fully understand the current concept so having several pay points will really confuse them. the biggest debate on here (im not starting this debate) is whether to pay on gross or net. either way is fine with me, I pay a certain way and it works for me so how others pay does not concern me. But when paying comm figure out what % you are going to pay and use that % keep it simple Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk
BarnettVending
Thanks for the advice, guys. I did think that it might complicate things a bit too much, but wanted to know if others had tried similar things. That's what the forum is really helpful for, from the looks of it: bouncing ideas off of each other. Thanks again!
dperry
I had concidered this once, but decided it was too confusing. My cycles are not always regular. What happens if it goes long? Longer cycles implies a bigger gross. So you might pay a higher rate one time but a lower rate another time. This might confuse them and create suspicion. Very true, hadn't thought that far about it yet. Glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks up all kinds of random things. Since I started looking into doing vending, I find myself thinking about it waaaaay too much.
