bulkvendingwizard
I am going to be placing some beaver machines out on locations. Is it better to locate using a charity pitch or comission?

timberframe50
I think it depends on the location. A shoe store would be charity, resturants go with comission. For comission acounts be clear on how you calculate the payout.
bulkvendingwizard
Jax Snacks, When you go with comission what percentage do you normally pay out? Do you use a contact when getting comission accounts? You mentioned the paying out.... how do you pay out your locations? I was thinking 20% of the net amount. My last reply was to timberframe not jax snacks...sorry about that
timberframe50
I always start with 20% of gross sales. But if I have to I will do 30% of gross but not a quarter more. I sometimes have to explain my cost run 40%. So at 20 they get 33% of the profit & 30% they get 50% of the profit. Hope this helps.

bulkvendingwizard
I am a new member just learning how to use vendiscuss. Instead of bashing new members questions/comments why dont you inform them that if you use the search button it will link you to other members comments on the same topic. Not trying to be rude just think that with this being a forum we all should work together to help each other out.

But instead of taking us to task for not performing to your wishes, maybe you can offer a little something in return. Who are you? Where are you from? What's your background? How long have you been doing vending? What are you goals? Are you planning on sticking around? Show us why we should invest our time and energy helping you out? I'm not saying that we won't help you, but we also don't have to help people out just because the ask.

You will find a wealth of information here just by reading old posts. I say old ones because for some reason, lately there has been a bunch of crap posted. You’ll find that if you don’t vend toys, you’re not worthy to have conversations with some people on here. Then there are the egotistical twits that think vending candy is a waste of time. Then there are the charity haters. Then you have the ones that just post sarcastic remarks and never offer any information or help. Then there are the ones that act like a bunch of little kids in elementary school. If you can get by all that garbage, you’ll find information that you would not believe. I’m not saying not to post a question. You may or may not get an answer you are looking for. Just weed through all the junk and eventually you’ll find what you asked. As for charity vs. commission, commission on candy would not be a beneficial thing for you’re business. You can’t make a decent profit vending candy compared to toys and gumballs. Charity places are easier to come by though. Vending candy is a great way to get your feet wet. Good luck with your business.
