treadmill
Recently purchased locks from LAI for my shootin hoops. Am having a problem with center post being too long and when I put new lock on to secure top lid it does not get tight. This does not happen to all my machines just a select few. I have moved the center rod on the larger shootin hoops where you can drop the post but on the mini hoops you can only drop do far and then you still have the same loose lid problem. What options do I have to fix this problem?
will.vend
you might have to buy a threaded rod from lowes/home depot and cut to length. because of the way they have the carriage bolt going in thru the bottom and that long nut to join the two I feel this is the best way. let me know how it turns out. btw how much did you pay for your locks? I need about 1000 of them. your other option would be to cut some of the threads off of your existing rod, you would have to cut both ends to insure you leave enough threads. if you do it this way put a nut on it first before cutting so it will help get the burrs off of the cut part. havending
Is your rod to long? Sounds like it is you may need to trim. Use a thin hack saw blade and try to cut the thread even. Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk

Nick505
Two options: Order new locks (Beaver locks should fit and get tight with no problem) Cut or file down the center rod a little.
