The claw draws up like it should and goes to the home location opens and then there is a click at the dba then the claw drops slightly like it should but about every so often the claw will not have the slight drop at the end and won't operate til I pull it down with my hands and reset the machine and it will break a string every now and then. dogcow Posted January 28, 2012 Share Posted January 28, 2012 what kind of machine is it? it might be your machine is winding the claw string backwards. this can happen if the string is too long. i dont know exactly the solution except to cut the claw string a bit shorter and respool it. i have a unit thats doing this as well i havent found an exact solution for it. it could be something more complicated though. my suggestion would be try shortening the string...if it doesnt resolve...try asking on an arcade game forum like KLOV (http://forums.arcade-museum.com/) those guys are pretty knowledgeable about cranes.
