Questions on changing out a coin mech

One of my coin changes is having issues. It only gives correct change on occasion, I am pretty sure it is the coin changer which is to blame since it is completely random and it is when making the same selection. It will only give 1 quarter instead of 2, but most of the time it gives both.

That is the coin changer in the machine, I want to replace it with a more reliable coin mech that will not cause me issues. What would be a good one to start off with?

I was thinking something along the lines of http://www.ebay.com/itm/MEI-Mars-VN-4510-MDB-Four-Tube-Coin-Changer-Mech-Refurbished-With-Warranty-/220999704155?pt=BI_Vending&hash=item33749bde5b#ht_500wt_1413 but I am not sure since I really have no clue.

That is the plug for the coin mech, is changing one out as simple as unplugging and taking the old one out? Then plugging the new one in and putting it in?

Any MDB mech will do. They are plug and play, just be sure to turn off power before unplugging. As for that specific mech, I am not a fan. The Mars MEI series are great, however on this particular model you need a screwdriver to loosen and remove the acceptor if you have a jam. Not really a big deal, just kind of a pain when almost every other out there does not need a screwdriver to remove it. That's my only complaint.

What specific coin changer would you recommend?

Something like http://www.ebay.com/itm/MEI-Mars-cf7000-coin-mech-acceptor-soda-snack-vending-7512-cashflow-changer-mdb-/190663535071?pt=BI_Vending&hash=item2c646ea9df#ht_500wt_1413?

maybe a bad solenoid or maybe the tube is just sticky i would give it a good cleaning.

ive had a problem with change not coming out and the coin tube was just sticky the coins were getting stuck/jammed,cleaning with alcohol resolved the problem.

That last link, a CF-7512 is your best bet. The first one is basically the four tube version of the 7512, just a version older. I would buy a refurbished one though, used is kind of risky on eBay.

Here are a couple:

I don't actually buy the parts of ebay, was just linking it for a reference. I plan on buying my parts from a guy I have been emailing today.

edit: Just realized you are the guy I was emailing today lol. Sending you another email right now.
