Bensmail
Hi, I recently purchased an older Pepsi machine with VN 2311 bell acceptor. A few days as the new owner and the bill acceptor breaks. The plate that pushes the bills into the magazine was stuck inside the magazine and the magazine could not be removed. I am very experienced repairing electronics so I took it apart, disconnected the PCB and used 6vDC to drive the motor to reset the plate. I purchased a new belt kit. The belts were pretty bad and I thought maybe the belts slipped and confused the unit. Now the unit does not work at all. The LED that is on in normal operation (or flashes for errors) does not come on at all unless you press one of the two buttons. There is an LED inside the bill reader area that flashes on/off very quickly about once every 3 seconds. About every 2 minutes the motor runs for about 1 second. Any idea what might be going on? Walta
Time to get a rebuilt unit. If you add up the cost of the new belts, the lost sales and your time. I bet you spent the 100.00 the rebuilt costs already. Walta
Bensmail
I got it working yesterday! Ended up being a bad 470uF 35v capacitor. I didn't loose much money becasue this machine is just at my job. I only sell 5 or 6 sodas per day and I had people asking me for change which I provided. Vendors Tech
That cap is the most common problem on older non-flashport Mars.
