SnackOn
Sadly, the machines I purchased in "very good" condition, have quite a bit of rust. Some of it is easy to deal with- on the exterior of the machines. But... Is there a safe way to remove and prevent more rust from the center metal screw, the one that holds the whole machine together and the candy and gum touch? Also, there is rust on many of the metal coils inside the dispensing mechanisms. These are 1800's that are no longer being sold. Thanks!!!
bhfisher
I had this same problem with some of the 1-800 I bought. It appears salt from peanuts causes this. I took the machines apart and used a wire brush on a dremel tool to clean off the rust. But it does leave some discoloration on the metals. I don't think there is any way the make it look new again. Best bet would be the purchase parts off ebay over time as you find them. Or you could find someone to clad plated the parts again? Bart
Rick
Rust on the brushing (ie "metal coils") will prove almost impossible. I might be able to hook you up with some of these.

Hillbilly
I've purchased just the springs for brush housings from A&A for the PO89 and the PN95 machines. They are C6-433 and are .11 each. They'll work.
