vendingaintforme
Another day another problem..... What is causing this problem? Cans are cold, Fans sound like they are running and thermostat clicked on when I turned it off then back on. Is it not draining properly or is it a freon issue. Please help don't feel like removing deck if not needed. Any tips to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated. PS. They was some condensation on the floor. Thanks for the assistance. AZVendor
Ice forming in that manner is indicative of low freon. Have a refrigerated-trained vending tech come out to recharge it. The deck doesn't need to be removed for that.
vendingaintforme
Is it possible to recharge it myself? if so, any suggestions on method. Not many vending techs in my area.
AZVendor
If you don't know a reliable vending tech then an appliance tech can do that for you. It's not advisable for you to do it yourself unless you are certain of the gas in the system and if you have a gauge set with an R12 scale. Your system could have R12, 134A, 401A (MP39) or Hotshot in it. I use MP39 because it can drop in on top of R12 and 134A. If your system has never been tapped and you still have the crimped stub line then it has the factory charge in it which is listed on a plate riveted to the compressor base. If it's been tapped then you can't assume the riveted plate is correct any longer and you would have to look for an indication of what is in it now. A properly charged unit with fans working properly and a clean condenser, 4 - 6" of open space behind the machine and the door closed will be 18-20 lbs. on the low side.
