DN 5800 Set Price

I just acquired a couple of locations that have DN5800 machines. I was unable to download the user manual and the installation and setup guide I found in the machine did not give instructions for setting the price. Will one of our fine VENDiscuss members write the procedure to adjust the prices in this machine?

Thank you,

Kenneth

PS. One of the machines has the remote open door. I would prefer one with a lock instead so I don't have to carry a large key fob looking thing with me. What is required to retrofit a mechanical lock instead and about what would it cost? Are the electronic locks reliable or do they fail and let people into the machine?

The DN 5800 is the Bev 3 model but the programming can be different among the different serial number series, especially if you have a Coke door.  Generally the Pepsi version is the same as the Generic version.  What style door do you have and what are the serial numbers of your machines?   Based on the electronic lock you have these are likley Pepsi versions, but you'll have to confirm that.  The door style and serial number are most important to determine if the electronic lock can be changed to a standard T-handle.  If you'll supply that info then I can get the parts you need if they are available.  Here is the pricing instructions for the Pepsi version:

SET PRICES
To set the prices enter the “SERVICE MODE” by
opening the service door and pressing the Service
Button once. Allows the setting of regular and
secondary prices for an individual item, a complete
tray, or the entire machine. Factory setting is $99.95.
Press the number “7” on the keypad and the display
will show “SET PRICE”. Press the “Ø” key and the
display will show “1 = Regular Pricing, 2 = Secondary
Pricing”.

To set regular prices press number 1 key and display
will show “Regular $##.##”. To set price:
1. All selections.
Press the keypad numbers of
the price you wish to use. As numbers are
entered the numbers will shift in from the right
as they are entered. Note: The CLR key will
remove the last # of the price. Once the
desired price is showing on the display press
the“Ø” key and the display will show
“PR$##.## All Set”, press “*” to set more
prices or CLR to return to SET PRICES.
Press CLR Key again to return to SERVICE
MODE.

2. One tray.
Press the keypad numbers of the
price you wish to use. As numbers are
entered the numbers will shift in from the right
as they are entered. Note: The CLR key will
remove the last # of the price. Once the
desired price is showing on the display press
the tray letter desired for setting price. Press
“Ø” and display will show “PR $##.## B(tray
letter) Row Set”, press “*” to set more prices
or CLR to return to SET PRICES. Press CLR
Key again to return to SERVICE MODE.

3. Single selection.
Press the keypad numbers
of the price you wish to use. As numbers are
entered the numbers will shift in from the right
as they are entered. Note: The CLR key will
remove the last # of the price. Once the
desired price is showing on the display press
the selection desired for setting price. Press
“Ø” and display will show “PR $##.## B1
Selection Set”, press “Ø” to set more prices or
CLR to return to SET PRICES. Press CLR
Key again to return to SERVICE MODE.

The last price entered for a selection is the price that
will be used. For example, If one price on the A tray
was set to $1.50 using option 3 above and you wish to
change the remaining selections on that tray
using option 2, the pricing for the entire tray would take
precedence. Conversely, if the price was set using
option 2 first followed by the single selection using
option 3, the pricing for the remainder of the shelf
would remain and the new price for the single
selection would change to the new value.
Press the “CLR” key to return to “SERVICE MODE”.

I don't have the serial numbers but they are both Pepsi branded machines. Is the serial number anywhere besides the sticker on the back of the machine? In one location I was able to push the machine away from a wall but all I could read on the sticker was DN5800. The other location I could not get to the back of the machine but it had an installation guide for a DN5800 inside it so I assume that is the model.

Are they Pepsi owned machines? If so you might be able to reach out to Pepsi for support/parts/advice.

I'm assuming they are Pepsi owned, as I think they are the only ones using TriTeq. ( The fob you're talking about.) Please, please tell me the fob you're using doesn't say "P1" on the back.
