MSVending
Hello, we have Office Deli machines, Model 173. Yes, we know all about the negative things that are said about them. So, if we could, not get into that. We have had "0" issues with our machines. I thank you in advance for staying on topic. We would like to retrofit one machine with a credit card reader. Does anyone have experience with this, or know how it would be accomplished. Thank you.
AZVendor
Since that machine should have a MDB coin mech and validator in it you can easily add a card reader. If the machine doesn't have an extra validator hole in the door then you can mount one onto the front of the door, but you will have to drill 5 holes in the door to do so. USA Technologies is the easiest to work with.
MSVending
Thanks you. I will look into that. Hopefully it is as simple as a few screws. Not much is these days. Thanks! :-)
AZVendor
Just remember that with the small capacity of the Seaga combos that you probably won't sell enough with card sales to actually pay for the card reader investment or monthly fees. You will want to have most prices over $1 before using cards or the fees will kill your bottom line. Also, if you drill the holes to mount the card reader (one will be 1/2") and then later decide to remove the card reader you will have 5 holes to cover or fill - not too pretty.
