ranthan2002
Didn’t see much here so I figured I can possibly be the first (in case I missed it on the search) I have a USI 3120 running a f80 board with the cb300-sa soda, I have been playing with a home brew telemetry system and running payrange no credit card reader… was wondering why I could not get cash sales then found out Duh! F80 does not do it.. so not wanting to gut the machine to upgrade to one of those gv boards I opted for the InONe retrofit kits, I was told it was kind of new and was not sure if it will work with the drop sensor on the soda satellite so I figured worst case it would not and send it back.. The swap was easy and everything seemed to work reports cash sales in payrange and the telemetry picks up data.… but found out it does not handle cans very well but the bottles it worked ok.. it picks up the drop sensor but expects the motor to do a full cycle so every other can vend you would get 2 cans and an error condition and it would lock out the selection.. Being that it is can be software upgraded via a micro sd slot used to also dump dex data I contacted them and they don’t want to invest the time to fine tune the board for cans and they gave me a choice to go full bottles or return for refund… No biggie for me since I was planning to do that anyway but I figured I would give the heads up to others here that want cans.. The retrofit kit is in case you want the info 10-0257-
AZVendor
I never knew that InOne made boards for newer USI machines. Since they don't show it on their website are you sure that you got a compatible board? What you're trying to do with that small a machine is kind of wasted time, in my opinion. There are plenty of machines out there that will do what you need so there's no need to spend time and money trying to get this machine to do it. You are probably correct on the can/bottle issue though I would expect that if InOne really built a board for this application that they can tell you how to configure the board to properly run the drop sensor. I can tell you that expecting the motor to make a full revolution is simply seeing the soda machine as one 360 degree motor. Their board probably isn't even looking at the drop sensor at all. ranthan2002
I had this machine already, it does not support dex, I wanted to report cash sales the f80 board did not support it.. I was told moving to the new board they have the gv something, I would also have to change out the wire harness and motors, an over $800+ expense I was quoted and buying another machine would cost even more.. This board was a simple swap upgrade that does work but had a quirk with the cans but otherwise worked great (currently I have the f80 back in until I sell out the cans) It does see the drop sensor since it errors the can slot when senses 2 cans drop and would not allow any more purchases from that slot until I cleared the error.. And when I emailed the rep I got the board though to get this reply about the cans; “I’m sorry, they simply cannot devote any engineering time for 1 machine. If you like I can refund your money if you return the kit. I apologize for the inconvenience.” I wanted others to hear about my experience with it if they decide to go the route I did.. Who knows they might with more interest make a software update for the board and I can run a can and bottle mix again.
AZVendor
I doubt that there would be much interest for trying to update an F80 board that is already MDB to anything else, especially in small machines. I would also not spend the money to change it to GVC as that might not work the way you want either. USI isn't too good about making sure that their DEX is usable. Stick with other manufacturers if DEX is real important, but don't buy older MDB machines as the DEX protocol that NAMA swore would be standard has evolved so much that older machines just don't report properly now. ranthan2002
I don't really need the dex file, I just wanted cash sales reporting, so cash sales show up in PayRange, and I am helping development on a cheap telemetry system for vending machines that needed cash reporting as well... http://www.lookmachine.com.br

This is precisely where the void exists as the current card reader or data port suppliers are ignoring the older MDB machines. This is why it's too bad that NAMA never followed through on their promise that DEX would always be a specific standard.
ranthan2002
yea its a pain, the one issue we have currently is that the telemetry device and PayRange are not playing nice together, but works great if I take the PayRange out.. not sure if both are fighting over the cash sales data.. but its a work in progress
AZVendor
This was an issue with the original versions of the Payrange. You should check with them on the method of downloading new firmware to it which is supposed to correct this issue. There are a couple of threads in the Food and Beverage forum about the Payrange where this is discussed.
ranthan2002
thanks for the response but my PayRange is at current firmware 11, we figure its possibly a addressing issue, so we are building in a method to change addressing..
