AMD Snacks
I have a 1800 vending triple I put in a muffler shop a month or so ago. .. went to service it today and the skittles were all gone, figured I found a skittle addict or something. But there was only $4 in the coin tray. No broken locks nothing out of place. I've seen a YouTube video of some kids scamming a cheap coin mech, but I tried and tried and couldn't figure out what someone did. Not like I'm losing sleep over a bag of skittles, but anyone have an idea how this was done? Btw gumballs and other candy were about normal returns. . bhfisher
I'd swap the mech out and test on the bench. Or swap with the gumball mech if I didn't have a spare
AMD Snacks
That's exactly what i'm going to do asap. It was so insanely hot today I just changed out the candy, tested it a few times and left. And yes I have a spare ready to go I'm going to swap it out with. But how many good vends would make you feel it wasn't the mech?
bhfisher
The only thing it could be if not the mech is the candy wheel top is backwards. Not sure I called it correct name, but when you remove the canister, there is a cover that blocks the hole where the candy exits to the chute. It can be installed incorrectly

PerformaVending
Check the clutch. I've heard that it can get "stuck" open on some 1800 mechs, allowing multiple spins. Usually caused by grime, dirt, or other obstructions keeping it from operating properly. Hope you find the root of the problem sir, good luck!
