nrod7
Recently bought my first 2 Beaver heads. They were set up for small candy pieces. The base, candy wheel, and housing area all metal. When I went back to the wholesaler who sold me the machines, I told him that I wanted to convert 1 head to gumballs. He gladly sold me plastic parts and also mentioned that the "springs" go bad on the housing, that plastic warps over time, and therefore I should by the set together. I did buy one set. However, when I got home I noticed that the part are similar to part from one of the 1st "Oak" machines I bought. (A) Are these parts interchangeable? ( Do the springs wear out and do plastic housings warp? Respectfully, nrod7
GagesVending
If you're referring to the Beaver black plastic capsule wheels, then avoid those. I've had multiple issues with that model misvending and not rotating properly. The metal chrome "ramp capsule wheels" will work great. Also Oak Vista capsule wheel with riser will fit as well as A&A's version of it. I've never had an issue with the springs wearing out, or the plastic housings warping...that part sounds like a scheme to sell more parts to you. Beaver makes only the highest quality. They last forever if maintained.
PerformaVending
I have never, in all the machines I've bought, operated, and serviced seen a unit with a "warped" housing. On some 2" machines I've seen the stir springs get a little bent, but that's to be expected- and doesn't affect operation at all- and that's it for any springs I've ever seen that get bent up. Someone tried to play you for a sucker.
nrod7
That is what I thought. Thanks for sharing your experience. I have already found a better wholesaler for product. Now, looking for a machine/parts/tech guy in Houston Texas. Go Astros!!! Thanks, nrod7
BeaverVending
Hi nrod7, I'm sorry to hear that you've had this experience. Our 1 inch gumball wheels (850 count) have metal housing, not plastic, so I feel you may not have been sold genuine Beaver parts. If you ever have questions about your equipment, or you need to order machines or parts, please feel free to get in touch with us directly. You can email sales@beavervending, call 1-800-265-6772, or use the live chat function on our website www.beavervending.com during our business hours.
