sbb
We have a DN501E coke machine that when it is plug in the compressor runs, but the display is not lite up. We tried replacing the eprom but that did not fix it? Any other suggestions besides a new board? When we bought this machine off of an auction the display worked but had a code of 99.75 or something similar, that is why we ordered the eprom to see if that was the answer. Now when we plug it in the display will not light up at all. Are we out of luck without the main board?
cvending
First of all, when you plug in the machine does anything else work besides the compressor? Lights, coin mech, validator? The 99.95 on the display is the default pricing that the machine sets itself to when it loses its memory. Is lost. If it happens every time the power goes out, you will need to replace the battery on the board(CR2035 I believe. Make sure the small barrel plug has not separated. That will kill everything but the compressor unit. It can be found in the lower left hand corner of machine just below the shelf. It pulls apart and pushes together. The 2 pins inside are different sizes so you just make sure they match the plug when inserting.
sbb
That was the problem. The barrel plug was unplugged! Now it is asking for the model #, etc, so we will try and program it. It did not come with a manual, but we downloaded it from the supplier that sent us the eprom also sent us the codes. Thank you very much!
cvending
Good luck with the rest. Should be easy. By the way, wheneverworkinh on the machine, unplug that barrel plug. Especially when unplugging/plugging in sny parts
