StayAround
Hi all, I've just had a replacement Cashflow 690 come up with a low battery error (experienced electrical tech, so board level repairs are easy). The original needs a really good clean, so I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. Has anyone managed to remove the cover over the battery to unsolder it? Are there any tricks to this (that I can't find..). Also, cleaning wise, I can't get into the AGM to remove a build-up of dust. Any clues? StayAround
Sorry - I didn't expect any replies after such a long time. The MEI Cashflow 690 is a popular coin mech in AU and non-US areas. Old, obsolete and very common. I have one in a Manea MX8 using Executive Protocol-A to the CF690 which then talks MDB to the note and card readers. I can't figure out how to replace it with something more modern since the VMC to Proto-A to MDB is messing with my head! Apparently the VMC in the MX8 can be made to talk MDB natively, but there is zero documentation available for this. Cheers, Richard
