Newbie no machines w/cc readers but already have loc

Newbie scared  woman doing it alone. No cc readers on any machines but at least 20 machines in place. Who has used vendsoft or parlevel 4 book keeping?  Pros and cons

I'm brand new too, however, the pros I have been talking to tell me to keep it simple at first and do things the old fashioned way.  I'm also told that there is no benefit to owning card readers over leasing.

I have leased, rented, and purchased card readers.  I couldn't really tell you why one is better than the other.  For me, renting or leasing is the better option because I don't have to put down hardly any cash right away.  That's my opinion.  Starting out though, purchasing is the way to go primarily because you usually can't get a rent/lease agreement for just one or two readers.
