Problem With Vendo Vue 40

I have a Dasani vendo vue 40 when the machine is powered on the arm rise up as normal but when it reaches the peak rite before it suppose to come down it starts jerking like it wants to keep going up then after about 2 seconds of doing that it stops and goes back down very very slow. The y- motor was changed but it did that before and after the install. What could it be?

Check the plastic strips in the elevator tracks.  They tend to split between the cog hole allowing the Ymotor to spin and loose encoder counts.
