Plushplaya
Hey all! Like a dummy I tried switching coin mech on my machine without unplugging the machine. I blew my 1.0a fuse. I didn't have another quick blow, so I put in a 1.0a regular fuse. It blew again, but also popped the GFCI at the wall. Now, the bill caildator isn't powering on. I already replaced the 1.0a quick blow fuse and still ha ing the same issue. I hope I didn't fry the board or the validator. Any help on this topic would be greatly appreciated! I will attach images if necessary. Thank you, PLUSHPLAYA
tblake05
Yup. Unplug the validator and see if it pops the fuse again.

AZVendor
You might have blown the validator. Plug the coin mech in by itself and see what happens. Are you still running micromech or is it MDB?

AZVendor
Yup, then micromech. If the coin mech blows it with the validator disconnected then you need to replace both.

Unplugging the validator didn't blow it thus time, and neither did unplugging the coin mech. There's 115-118v going through that 1.0a quick blow fuse. Know which wires to check at the validator to see if it's getting power?

I actually used my probe 50-600v hot wire tester. To see if there was hot running through them, but I also have a nice voltmeter, I just am not sure of which wires to check with it.
