FSUAttorney
Hello, everyone -- brand new to vending. Bought 8 machines (4 snack/4 drink). 3 of the 4 USI snack machines I believe are MPC. How easy is it to convert to MDB? And how can I 100% verify they're MPC? Also, one of the selection buttons on the dixie narco is completely messed up. Any good tutorials online on how to fix? Thanks a lot
AZVendor
You have no idea what you're talking about and I'm guessing the seller didn't either. USI snack machines aren't MPC as you call them. If they are older with yellow displays they are micromech and they aren't MDB compatible though you might find that InOne Technologies has an upgrade board for them. If you have USI red displays then they are MDB compatible but they will not support card readers or anything else. If you have USI blue displays then they are MDB and card reader compatible but they won't report cash sales through the card reader software. It just dawned on me that you might have meant GVC which is the first of the latest logic board from USI. If it's a green board then no card reader, if it's a blue board then you can do a card reader. I believe you could upgrade a green board to blue board, if it's still available. MPC is a Dixie Narco logic board and the first generation of it. It is not MDB either and there are no upgrades for it, if that's what you're asking about. Your generic question about a DN button completely messed up gives us nothing to work with. You need to give the model of the machine and post a photo of the problem. tblake05
It helps to know specific machine models as I have lots of older USI machines that are running card readers just fine- though may need updated firmware (which is obsolete so probably a moot issue) Plus I have a GVC1 green board that is running card readers as well and some blue boards that wont. If its GVC1, you need to check firmware version which is flashed immediately on start up. Anything lower than 8000 wont do credit cards.
