bostonvendor27
Thanks! I'm doing 10 doubles. Keeping most of them red because it makes it a lot easier to repaint.
Hillbilly
I originally thought the hoppers were grey but they kind of look chrome. Are they? Also have you had any problems with paint lifting? This last one I'm working on is giving me fits. Every time I paint the base more than 1 coat it is lifting up everywhere.
bostonvendor27
Yes the hopper is chrome . I did have one give me some trouble . I had to sand it down a bit more then repaint. not really sure what caused it?
bostonvendor27
This one went out today!!!! I placed it at a bar and grill. looks like a great location the only thing is the owner wanted it at the front door which make me a little nervous. bostonvendor27
I put gumballs and pmm's I'm going to give it a month and see how they do. I was wondering if i should have done just one head w/gumballs?
will.vend
try a spot with just one head and see, i read a thread about casseri going to singles from doubles. how did it turn out casseri?
Hillbilly
I'm kind of limited in my locating because I won't go in a bar. I would probably do a bar and grill unless it is mainly a drinking establishment. I believe I would start with gumballs only. I have a few that are gumballs only and they do really well.
Hillbilly
Thought I'd better clarify that. I used to have a problem with alcohol. Kicked it 6 years ago but the temptation and desire is still there so I don't like to go in bars.
caserri
try a spot with just one head and see, i read a thread about casseri going to singles from doubles. how did it turn out casseri? It was a bust. I admitted in that thread that my thinking was flawed. Here is the thread -- http://vendiscuss.com/forum/index.php?topic=67.
JEREMYTINA
I originally thought the hoppers were grey but they kind of look chrome. Are they? Also have you had any problems with paint lifting? This last one I'm working on is giving me fits. Every time I paint the base more than 1 coat it is lifting up everywhere. There could be some kind of oil from your fingers or the environment around the machine that prevented the paint from adhering. Did you prime first with Rustoleum or Kilz?
Hillbilly
No I didn't prime. Generally don't have to. I'm in the process of taking it back to bare metal. It will be primed this time. I've painted 2 more since that one and have had no problems with them.
will.vend
I have had problems with bubbling and tracked it back to the type cleaner I was using. now I use soapy water and havent had any problems since...I guess I left a chemical residue with the cleaner
bostonvendor27
Unless they are chipped or bubbled I just give them a quick sanding. It seems to work great so far.
