Boazcat
I've got a giant older Royal pop machine. I don't know the model number, but it has at least 4 double lanes and 4 single lanes. The machine is 7 feet tall. It holds ALOT of pop.... Are thermostats universal? Can someone point me in the right direction? I see from reading other posts that changing it is easy... Hope so! Thanks for any advice! Michael
Technivend
While they are similar they are not identical. In a Royal we have had success using Dixie thermostats as they can be easier to come by. Without getting into cut-in and cut-outs, cycle lengths and such, what we need to look at is the type of sensing the thermostat does. Evaporator sensing, cold air sensing or warm air sensing. Boazcat
Machine is Royal 638. I called a local guy and he sold me the correct one. That was a simple install. I put a small piece of paper on the intake and hope it is laying on the bottom of the machine when I go back tomorrow. Michael
