I'm curious to know what do you put in your tools box when doing your route.

I use a backpack as my tool box and in it are the following items I have:

- Spray disinfectant (food safe) to wipe the door and coins mechanism

- Plastic cleaner to wipe the exterior of the door

- Metal polisher to clean the metal stands and lids

- Flat head screwdriver in case I need to reset the machines conversions

- $0.25 and $1.00 coins mechanism

- Roll of paper towel to clean the inside of the machines

- Roll of cloth towel to clean the outside of the machines

- Wood spatula to mix the candies inside the machines

- Box of disposable sanitary gloves for when I'm in contact with the product

- Box of garbage box to trow away stale products

- Dust pan with hand sweep to remove product that fall on the floor

- Box on coins envelopes to insert coins paid out to clients

- Money bag to insert all the coins

- Coins counter tubes (0.25$, $1.00 and $2.00)

7 and 8 pin lock pick. And everything else mentioned above. lol

To be serious, I use a big canvas tote. I put in whatever items are stocked at the location, plus rags, cleaning solution, scooper, wooden spoon, spare mech, long phillips screwdriver, and open end wrench, labels, and a money bag.

I keep spare parts and machines in the van, along with a large label collection, a ton of product, spare heads, and a large piece of pipe stand for anyone feeling froggy.

What is food safe? Maybe the new Martha Stewart spray?

A disinfectant that can be used on food surfaces...

Sleever bar, bull pin, spud crescent, beater and a hammer drill.

I don't think all these will fit in my backpack. :)

I also have in my backpack:

- Pens

- A paper notebook

- A can of compressed gas duster. They are expensive, so I only use it when I'm changing type of candies and I don't have an extra head in my car.

Wow this is an extensive list. A better topic title might be "What is in your car when you service?"

Here is what I pack in on a service run:

1. Product - Gum/Toys/Sticky/Balls/Candy/etc.

2. Toolbox - has tools, locks, misc stuff

3. Two three-drawer boxes from Lowe's for displays, business cards, decals

4. Box of spare mechs

5. Coin bags/scale

6. Route Sheets

7. Few bottles of water

8. Extra machine (room permitting)

9. Flat cardboard - in case I pull multiple machines

10. Box of spare parts

11. Service bag w/ cleaner, rags, keys
