On one of my narrow columns, the rotor is in a position that can best be described as "incorrect" from the other rotors? It looks like the rotor is sort of in a closed position and when I look at it, the remaining columns were all "open". I removed all the cans, to check for a jam, but didn't see anything jammed. I refilled it with my Sprite and it seemed to stay in that closed position? Only reason I ask is when I press the vend button it takes about double the time that it should to vend, and seems delayed? On a 3 deep can column the rotor will be open to the top with 3 cans in the rotor. The first vend rotates the rotor clockwise just far enough to drop the first can leaving the rotor open at about the 5 o'clock position. The second vend will stop at about the 5:30 position and the third vend drops the rear can as the rotor turns back to be open facing up after reloading. If your column is operating in this way then it's physically set up properly. You do need a rod and spring in the rotor for cans and if you don't have one the cans might be delayed in exiting the rotor. No rod and spring will also lead to jammed if the delay is too great. If all of this is already correct and you have slow vends on one column that could be due to a worn out motor. If you need any parts just send me a PM. AZVendor Posted April 24, 2014 Share Posted April 24, 2014 The operating positions are the same with a 2 deep DN machine. You should manually run this column and see how it vends and then compare it to a good working column and you should be able to see the difference. On a 2 deep machine it's very possible that you have a twisted rotor that could delay the rear can drop. You could also have a broken drive pin on the motor shaft where it engages the rotor subsequently putting the timing off, or you could actually have a motor that has skipped a gear tooth in the gearbox, throwing the timing off. Also make sure that every narrow column has a white plastic can shim on the left side above the rotors. Those shims aid in the reloading of the rotor and if they are missing you will end up with jammed cans resulting in a twisted rotor. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
