GagesVending
What's wrong with a bar? I have many bar locations and they all do well for me. Solid locations.

RikaKazak
I have vendstars in bars. They're never my busiest places, but they're also never my slowest. Sure there's more drunks/vandalism/accidents etc.....but the margins in vending (especially when buying $20 used vendstars) is so high, it's not that big of a deal imo. GagesVending
Can't speak for anyone else's bar experiences but in the time I've been vending, the worst "vandalism" I've had from a bar location is the vendstar chute flap doors breaking off, which happens in all venue types because they're cheap. I have a variety of upscale down to dirty, dive bar. Never really had a problem.
jerrybrooks vending
The owner was the one that was truly concerned..its setting close to the door..because its lightweight he's afraid someone is going to take it home with them as a parting gift! TWvend
So guys, what are you vending in these bar locations? I've seen some posts here advising stay away from nuts , as the salt ruins equipment.

Bamafan2277
I am getting ready to set my first machine up in a bar. It will be a NW Super 60. with mint gum tabs. The bar owner is looking forward to me putting it in. He says folks are always asking for "something to cover their breath" I figure I will set it on a small vend of 4-5 pieces per vend and see how the crowd takes it. If i get no complaints they will probably drop .50 or .75 each time to the machine
GagesVending
So guys, what are you vending in these bar locations? I've seen some posts here advising stay away from nuts , as the salt ruins equipment. Skittles, PMM, Hot Tamales, Mike and Ikes, Reese's Pieces. I refuse to vend any kind of nut except peanut M&Ms. Cashews are way too expensive, so those are a no-go as well.
superstar
I've thought about trying to put them in bars but was also worried about vandalism. I too thought some type of mint or gum would be a great choice for a bar! Maybe I'll give it a shot.
Kalleberg
I tried a Vendstar in a bar once. Didn't have any problems with vandalism but when people are drunk they get clumsy. Soon I got a call from the manager to replace it because someone ran into the machine and knocked it over. The canisters busted and the top came off. and candy from a 2/3rds full machine went all over the bar floor. The manager said that if it wasn't such a pain to clean up he would have thought it was funny. I think a heavier, more durable machine would probably be better. jerrybrooks vending
Well this one is by the door...kind of away from the serving area. So hopefully if they are clumsy they'll fall out the door, instead of the machine! Sent from my Ally using Tapatalk
