Acrylic boxes direct from China

Thanks.  I would rather buy American.  What are some places to buy? I have looked at possibly Sheridan, CharityVending, ncacrylic.  NCacrylic is about $160 (they say they are high because: do not have sharp edges; they are shaped to funnel candy to the customer; and their locator services are better).  CharityVending runs about a third of ncacrylic.  Don't see the value in paying more with ncacrylic.  Plus they sounded like they had been in the business for years; however, my research showed they were formed in 2014.  Sounds a little shady.  Leaning toward Charity or Sheridan... BUT, do they make their acrylic boxes or do they get them from China.  Hence, my desire to research China prices.  Nothing much is made in America anymore.

Don't go with Charity vending just because of the locator. I assure you can find the same locator they use right here on the board. Find the boxes then hire the locator.

The boxes cost just as much to have made here in the US in higher quantities as it would to buy from china unless your ordering a huge amount. Then you have to wait a minimum of 3 weeks after it's loaded on the ship to get to a port, then you have to wait to go through customs. If it's coming from a part in China that is known for counterfeiting, then they will hold your shipment even longer.

Even if you order a pallet, you could buy them local just as cheap even from Sheridan or one of the big suppliers.

I will know tomorrow if I am going to have some made here in my own town tomorrow. I have the company that makes all of the plastic Lottery ticket holders right here in my home town.

I can get them down to the cost and sell them as a package or just help others out if I decide to do it.

If you haven't bought from China before, something that big isn't a great way to cut your teeth on it.

  • 4 weeks later...

I don't know anything about dealing with China except what I have read, seemed like to many hurdles and to many unknowns to invest my money in. I got 2 different local companies making me boxes ones doing them for $25 a box the other doing them for $23 a box.
