Take glides out and lay on flat ground. Spray with cleaner and brush then hose off and let dry. I keep an extra set of glides to swap out and keep a clean set on hand.

Check to make sure the spring is still on the actuator. Also are those columns set for bottles or cans?

If it needs Freon it already has a leak. The bullet valve will eventually leak. They are made to remove the Freon and then be sealed up. I would find the leak and repair it and sweat in a service port.
