    No idea, but I think a better question is who "invests" so much time and money on a machine no longer manufactured and considered to be the $10 craigslist find? I have plenty of them in subpar locations, but the thought of improving them would never cross my mind.

      The machine was doing about the same as it always has. I don't care anymore; it wasn't much of a loss (just a toy double) but it was more that I took it personally.

      Is that a common occurrence in your town ? What's the average lifespan of a restaurant ( non- chain ) there ?

      No, I've actually only lost a few locations due to going out of business. Restaurants can last forever if they're good. You can always tell which ones won't make it from the time they open.

    It all depends. Typically, when you're locating you either offer either charity or commission terms. These are most common. I have gotten a couple locations myself without mentioning charity or commission, but this is not to be expected. The machines you've seen on location not labeled with a charity are more-than-likely commissioned or owned by the location owner. If you know someone who owns a business, one which would work well for a candy machine, you could always talk to him/her and you're more likely to get a yes for no commission because he/she is your friend.

    LRU came through with a toy location! Placed with no issues whatsoever. Still waiting on 2 from Riverbend (ordered before TVF store) and 1 from Kickstart.

      No, it was an order I placed probably 3-4 months ago. Somehow they lost it or something and I gave up on it. Gale came through recently and said she'd take care of it and she did. My next order will be through here though!

    Working on a large grocery store. I talked to the manager today and he said he's thinking about removing an empty Uturn there, so he's considering my offer on a 4 way rack.

      I didn't pay much attention, but I don't think it was. I believe it was another company's version of RedBox.

      I can't compete with NEN. The rack alone is Northwestern with the kiosk that you can put bills into and select which product you want. They seem pretty pleased with their service. I saw the empty Uturn as an in, and possibly be able to upgrade later on.

    It seems like the chutes on NW, Oak, AA and Eagle have a larger opening, so I never have misvends with those. Beaver and Lypc are the only brands I have issues with misvends because the capsules sometimes get caught at the top of the chute.
