dogcow
Im trying to convert from an electronic comparitor mech to a mechanical (switch) mech however the electronic mech has 1 coin line in the harness, what does the other side connect to? the harness has a 12v line and a "coin line" , does the coin line get pulsed with 12v? or do i need a resistor in there? that is to say, in the mechanical mech, do i just put the 12v line on one side of the switch and the "coin line" on the other side? the comparitor has a harness with the label: counter +/- dc +12v coin signal ground counter -/+ any help appreciaited this is an urgent issue

Billnuts
ill do it! the coin signal sends a pulse to ground or connect the pulse wire to the coin switch and the other side to ground mechanical mechs do not need 12volts. 12volts is to run the little lightbulb or the electric coin mech + lockout coil if needed on a mechanical you just need a ground and pulse/ coin in wire so when the coin passes the switch it sends a signal that the pulse wire connected to ground.. bill
