I have a max force that is intermittently freezing. I assume its a hard drive issue. I got a spare board/drive that supposedly is a different game but will work in the same cab however the board doesnt match and i cant figure where the connections hook up. i dont even know what game it is.

here is the board any ideas? anyone have a manual?

intermittent freezing is 95% hard drive every time

I had a gaunlet dark legacy, war, final assult, revolution X, and buck hunters

all the same... hard drive.. got a replacement from ebay and back in business

you can do you it yourself with norton ghost if the hard drive can be read

but thats time consuming and you would still need to buy a blank hard drive.

by the time you buy the drive get two hard drive cables, and norton ghost... just get one from ebay

eventually it will lock up and the hard drive with just click click click

its a easy $30.00 fix

you can see if its the motherboard

but the only issue is overheating

feel the chips if they burn your finger..as in within 1 second thats the problem

the flash memory work too

on some games the bootup was too fast and would cause errors but they would self correct

but i think they worked out those bugs

if you turn it on and all you hear when you get close to the hard drive is click click click or feel it and cant feel it spinning then its deadville

some drives are encypted thou.

like Carnevil, and house of the dead, and some have a dongle on them so you cant copy the software.

like big buck world. it runs on a dell pc and you get the drive image and a restore disc dvd set. and a dongle which has to go into a usb port. DDR gives you a disc too, but it's encrypted.

from what i've read u can just download the chm file that's used for MAME

and write it to a hard drive using an imaging software and pop the drive

right in the game. i dont have a spare hdd now so i am gonna try

swapping out the board with site 4 and see what happens. hopefully

the monitor isnt shot from the fall
