MistaFrz Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Been looking around these forums and am wondering (I know you can buy 50 cent coin mechs) if any bulk machines come pre-built with the 50 cent coin mechs. I have a few full line accounts I am looking to add in some bulk machines but don't wanna start off with 25 cent machines due to the lower margin. I would vend candy and would like 3 selections. Thanks for any information!i
Square Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 all machines can be configured from the mfg with the denomination you like. If you get the machines use, I would factor in the cost of upgrading the mechs to see if it worth buying them used or ordering them the way you want.
sherlock Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 What Square said. Let me add, please report back to us how the candy sells at .50. Others have tried selling candy at that price point and didn't do well. But, maybe other factors could have played a role in those results, too. It'd be nice to have you give us your experience. Good luck.
MistaFrz Posted June 29, 2014 Author Posted June 29, 2014 Still haven't done this. Don't know why I can't get myself to do it. It seems like a cheap investment to try out. Sigh, gotta get off my bum.

shepherdsflock Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 I've had some success with Nerds gumballs and Kaboom jawbreakers at 50 cents in a couple of places. I wouldn't do it at all my locations, but it can work in the right location. I probably wouldn't try candy at those prices.
FrCorey Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 yeah, if you buy new, they can install 50 cent mechs for you If you buy used, new mechs can be as high as 30.00 each or so. I don't know about pre-made. I have never seen one come as a kit. and it's not worth converting them cause the parts would cost more then buying them new.
