sprint54fan
At one time when our walmart went from a regular store to the super center we was able to place a snack machine in their breakroom.. it lasted a couple years until we received a certified letter from Best Vendors telling us we had 60 days to remove our equipment due to they have a contract with Canteen..I did research and sure enough it was legit.. Well today I lost a double head candy machine location and I thought you know what Im going to go talk to the Walmart manager.. so after a little 10 minute conversation he allowed me to place my double back in the breakroom for Charity. My question..since Im skeptical on how long this will last..does anyone have any walmart breakrooms? How long have you had machines there? I know at one time I read a thread on here about a member who had a machine in a walmart breakroom and the manager left a pickup asap and never bring it back note on the unit.. just curious
SeaTurtle Vending
I had one and it did barely ok. Would I take one again. yes. My hope would be to to try and translate that to a machine in the layaway area. That will kill it!
havending
Even in the lay a way area you may get booted by the bulk operator. Instead of looking for ways to fly under the radar look at how to obtain a Walmart contract.
musser
Your toast as soon as best does a site survey. Many chains have third party auditors inspect stores for compliance to corporate standards. You will get to stay only if the survey person is a slacker and no one from corporate wanders into the break room and the full line operator doesn't report you. cbrvend
I have 3 Walmart breakrooms and all do above average for me. All have been on location for more than a year. Does anybody here have experience obtaining a Walmart contract?
TexasFreemason
Seems to be really hard to get into a large corporate place. I have tried Walmart, Family Dollar, Dollar General, and Pizza Hut.
Tbuford
Corporate contracts are a booger. You gotta be huge. I've been a sub, sub for several corporate accounts that were out of the big guys core area. There are lots of reasons corp accounts are a golpher. The worst one in my opinion is they redo the contracts every few years and if someone new gets it you are out. I've done some fam $, Bills $, dollar tree, winn dixie, K mart, michaels and pizza huts. Some winn dixies and kmarts were killer until the accounts were put up for rebid and I got booted. I had an opportunity to do a few walmarts once, but turned it down cause they had so damn much paperwork, you had to have a witness with you the whole time and you had to wait for them. I roll and don't wait on people. By the time I was offered some walmarts I was already soured to corp accounts. I still think little chains are great cause you can give a good cut to them, build a rapport with the owner and then they won't boot you no matter what the next guy says trying to sell them. I also like the chinese guys who are skiddish of the yahoos coming in there trying to get them to sign a contract. I build my relationship with him and keep the yahoos at bay. You are slick moderator. Changes my dirty word before I could, before I even posted...... wahoooooooooo
FJ baller
I agree with every word and thought expressed in this post by mr Tbuford. He is completely correct and this is how I do things as well. I did walmarts and sometimes got stuck waiting a hour for a yahoo to escort me around. And I had to service the account way too often. Then I would get stuck overnight 5 hours away from home in a hick town. Tbuford is my hero
LandJGroup
I still have doubles in a handful of tire and lubes at wally world. They are good I guess for smaller accounts. Service them every five months or so.
