VAVending Posted October 29, 2017 Share Posted October 29, 2017 Hey y’all, one of my Witterns gave me an odd reading the other day. I checked the temp and it told me it was down to 31°F. Checked the settings and it was still set at 35°F. Unplugged and replugged the machine and it said 31°, but then climbed to 35°. It’s now at 35° and steady, no further issues. It’s making me nervous as I believe I read that diet soda freezes around 31°. Is this a temp sensor issue? Am I missing something maybe? Any ideas would be welcomed. AngryChris Posted October 29, 2017 Share Posted October 29, 2017 I don't know about the settings as some machines use a low range and a high range.. so yours might be say 4 degrees, so it runs at 35 degrees and shuts off at 31 degrees until it warms back up to 35. That way, it doesn't run every 5 minutes just because it got down to 34. As for freezing, soda does NOT freeze until at least 20 degrees and that's diet soda. Regular soda is under 10.
