vender4321 Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 I am confused about something on a NA 147 machine. There appears to be a DEX Harness on the board. As I understand it these machines are not MDB or Dexable - therefore no credit card can be installed. However, I am confused that there seems to be a DEX harness on it. Can I get a Dex read? or install a CC?
AZVendor Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 If you can't do MDB then you can't do a card reader. DEX came out before the current generation of card readers. The first gen could only work generally with pre-loaded debit cards (Debitek). This model of machine will not run MDB so an aftermarket board is required.
