Update Eprom on Dixie Narco DN3591

I’m trying to see if anyone has done this. I have a Dixie Narco DN3591. I have a nayax credit card reader and when my customers uses a credit card it gives the 655.26 code. I read somewhere that you have to update the eprom if so where would I get one from.

Hey, I have the same issue. I am running VMC 030.81 which i thought was the latest Eprom. My unit is the 5591. My vending guy told me to get a dex cable and plug it in to my Nayax VPOS touch to see if that solves it. 

 

What Eprom are you running?

Yes. Try the dex cable but that will probably only give you dex data, not correct a credit issue.

Next would be a firmware update of the card reader.  Actually, do that first.

I did do that first.  I checked on the Nayax website.  All of my card readers are up to date. Where do you think I could get a dex cable for this unit?

I found the answer to this.  It’s a combination of the board and Nayax setting for the extra credit card fee.  If you let the reader take the cost same as cash then there will be no issue (no convenience fee).  I personally tested this and played with the settings on my desktop to verify it.  Hope that helps.
