JGEASTERN Posted October 23, 2022 Share Posted October 23, 2022 Bought a 550-8 coke machine . Compressor and fans do not come on. They all work if powered up with 120 v0lts. Display was working and showed error. Display no longer works. Has 24v ac at board power connector fuse is good. Coin mec and bill accepter power up. Door switch tested and works. compressor and fan relays new and have 120 v but are not activated by board. About to send control board out to be tested. Have I overlooked something? AZVendor Posted October 23, 2022 Share Posted October 23, 2022 No, it sounds like you have checked everything. Does the machine go out of service mode and into vend mode when you press the door switch? If it does, that is how you confirm it's good. Does the compressor start if you hold the door switch closed for up to 5 minutes? You can wedge a micro screwdriver into the plunger to hold it closed. If the compressor then starts you have a problem with the door not closing against the switch. If this has all checked out, and the fact that the display later went out on you, the board probably needs to be repaired. You can also move the compressor leads to the other side of its relay to see if you just have a 1/2 faulty relay. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
JGEASTERN Posted October 23, 2022 Author Share Posted October 23, 2022 thanks for reply. relays tested good but I replaced them any way. the relay coils are not getting powererd up. cant tell if it goes into service mode because display is suddenly dead. door switch is working and does compress with door closed.
