drewfriedman2
I am sure this has been asked a million times but here goes, I have an AP 112 that as been upgraded with an inONE board to allow for MDB. With that being said I have a 110 volt, two prong connection (going into the acceptor) MEI Series 2000, and a twelve pin connector coin changer (not sure of the exact model number). Now, I am getting two blinks from the validator which we all know means that it is disconnected from VMC. But, when I tube fill it the machine and board recognize and count each coin. But then when I try to insert bills, the validator will not even uptake them. I have tried to change out the coin mech, but there is no where on the series 2000 to plug up the mech. Do I need to replace the acceptor or am I just blatantly missing something here?
Gizmo Vending
2 flashes means the validator isn’t in a place to communicate with the board. Some reasons would be all prices set to 0.00, not enough coins etc. With the door switch pushed in does it work?
AZVendor
Why update the board and not the coin mech and validator?

Do I need to replace the acceptor or am I just blatantly missing something here? I am not sure what you are saying... the coin mech doesn't plug into the bill acceptor. The coin mech plugs into the harness that goes to the board. The bill acceptor plugs into a separate harness that goes to the board. They do not plug into each other. Also, the two flashes can simply mean the door isn't closed. The AP 110 has a door switch. Does the display show something like "insert money" once you close the door? As long as something happens to recognize the door switch is working, you're good. Two flashes can happen for all kinds of reasons without any faults, such as the door switch. It could be the harness is disconnected, it could be low coins as you checked into, etc.. To change the coin mech, you simply disconnect the coin mech and plug in a new coin mech. Since yours has an InOne board, you should be able to use a TRC 6000 or something MDB like a 9302-GX. The only catch is that your coin mech harness might not reach the board if you don't have the MDB harness plugged in that came with your kit. Other than all of that, you need to make sure that your options are set to PULSE on your validator. I believe it is either in OPTIONS or CONFIGURATIONS or something along those lines. I think you press the button for "enter" to cycle through PULSE or MDB. The 110v validator must use PULSE.

It's the best "cheap" way to add card readers without spending a grand I also add an InOne board when an OEM board goes bad. No sense in repairing an old board for $200 when I can upgrade for $350~
