Big Mike
Wendi & I run Bulk, Racks & Cranes. But we also have a small fullline route as well. There are no good full line suppliers around here so for us its Sam's all the time. Has anyone had success having items shipped in and make it work? mxer518
Vistar is good but you really need to be doing larger volume to make any services like this work, I believe they like to see minimum orders of around 1200$ in my area.
qualityvs
I use Vendors Supply. Don't know if they service your area or not. As long as you order 50 case minimum, shipping is free. I believe they will deliver/ship smaller counts but you would have to pay for shipping.
mission vending
Around here Vistar requires 40 case minimum to deliver free, anything less and they charge up to $75.00. If they are not to far you can arrange to pick up from their warehouse and save the delivery charge.
mxer518
I hear they are coming out with Retail Vistar stores for vendors to have other options than Sams, I can only with they had one in my area.
mission vending
We used to have a place around here called VendTex. You could walk in a grab what you needed when you needed it. All set up for vendors. It was a sad day when they pulled the plug on that place.
Sparta_Automation
We use Cash and Carry stores for Chips, cookies, pastries etc. Costco for candy bars, energy drinks, granola type bars Walmart for soda Travis
andyinchville
HI, I have seen Vistar mentioned on several threads here....Just curious but how are their prices in comparison to Sams? Another avenue I have and maybe you would too, is to contact your local Frito Lay distributor..... I typically get all my products from Lance (well chips, nabs, cookies, etc...(that may be an alternate supplier for you as well) ....I wanted to see if other suppliers were available so I started talking w/ local Frito Lay truck driver....He told me where their Office was and I spoke w/ the manager there.....Next thing you know I have another potential supplier. Only problem with their products is that they do not have holes in them for use on my old "cork screw" type machines (old Toms Polyvends).....so that would mean even more tabbing ugh! Hope this helps you in finding alternate suppliers. Andrew
