mission vending
Don't know if there is really a "best time" someone has to at least be able to respond to calls for out of order machines. For me, my slowest time of the year is between Christmas and New Years and the week after New Years.

devin1986
Christmas time works well in my limited experience. I'm hoping to go on a cruise at some point this winter/spring though.
soco
If you have a trained replacement you could do it anytime. One of my associates runs pinballs & video-games. Asked him if I could train his 18 year old son and give him some part time income once in awhile. He welcomed my suggestion since the kid could do it in between his work for his Dad. I took two weeks in March and two weeks in July. Didn't experience any theft... some wrongly priced items, but no theft!
devin1986
I'd have a hard time finding the right person to train in. I'm way too possessive of my machines.

That`s one of biggest and hardest steps to take as your business grows... to trust someone enough with the keys so you can get some time off, especially those working on a full time basis. Its either that or at some point you will flame out and burn out.
