loach33
A&A had a sale on Bubble King gum a week or so ago and the flyer said it was their top selling gum. I've always used Nerds, but honestly I'm not a big fan of it as it gets hard within a few minutes and loses the flavor. Plus it's expensive. My plan was to sample some Bubble king from some vendor around here. But, no machines use it that I see - they have Double Bubble usually. Is this the same thing? Is Bubble king something different? What do you think of Bubble King or Double Bubble vs. Nerds? When starting here, I read some opinions that said Nerds gum is worth the extra cost. Thoughts now?? Thanks

Thanks I tried nerds before and noticed no dramatic increase in sales, some people will tell you bubble king is better than double bubble but I cant tell the difference. I have a sam's nearby and I get my dubble bubble there, they recently increased the price but it's still cheaper than any other gum out there. If you have a sam's I would go with double bubble, imo the key to good gum sales is freshness of the gum, regardless of the brand. Jax snacks taught me how to read the code on the box so I can get the freshest gum on the shelf.
mainor5251
I tried the nerds and wasn't all that happy so then I switched to seedlings that I special order from Sams Club and get it shipped free to store. Gum is in the shape of fruit and has flavor seeds in them. They taste better then nerds and are cheaper (i think around $26 a case, sales definitely increased when I swapped out from regular double bubble to seedlings. Thanks Every vender around here uses Double Bubble, because they can get it at Sams. But I believe that DB is crappy because it has a tendency to chip really badly. I've used the Bubble King too, and was quite happy with it. Bubble King and Fruit Stand are among the cheapest assorted gums that A&A carries. I believe its about $20 a box (don't quite me) which makes it only marginally more than from Sams. The kicker is the shipping of course. But if you are buying huge amounts of stuff from A&A, maybe even some machines, then it the shipping costs could be a wash.
