I have a couple racks that have 3 flat columns and I am going to do two @ .50 and the middle @ .

We try to stay under 20% product cost so we are well within our limit. I still want to try out some locations at higher price points though. Just have not done it yet. dperry
I do all .50. Flat is around 20 to 21 a box so the cost is around 14% All my flats run at .50 too, but they are among the worst selling items on my racks. I might add some 2-columns to my racks, but I think that anything over 2-colums is overkill for any rack. My highest grossing location has a 9-way, 4 of which are flats. Typically, the take for all of the flats is just about equal to one of the 2 in toys.
lurtsman
Interesting. My flat always flopped until this month, when I checked a new rack and found the win big stuff was moving. If you like that, you'll love this. Jax sold me some tattoos that were doing terrible in his area. Gave me a deal that couldn't be beat. This new location those tattoos are selling! My mind was blown. Brand has the zoo tattoos, which also do fairly well for me, but they are just too expensive and shipping really hurts if you aren't buying several boxes at a time. mainor5251
this is one area I really need to concentrate on, I only have one 3 col. sticker, all price point at .75 it does pretty good
timberframe50
Thanks for the feedback. I'm considering giving up on flat. I only have 3, 2 column units. I just can't sell anything out of these ($10 or less every 2 months). 2 were in Mexican resturants @ 50¢ and 1 in a sports arena @ 75¢. All were exclusive loctions. Currently 2 are in storage 1, 50¢ and 1, 75¢. The only reason this new location is getting one, I'm out of 2" machines.

sherlock
Are those items from Win Big marked as contest entries or something? I mean, are the folders just plain cardboard or do they advertise the prizes Win Big was offering? Also, does the sticker/tattoo backing mention the prizes? Since the company is going away, I would hate to advertise the possibility of winnings when in fact there may not be any prizes to win. Sorry == editing to answer the OP question: Price point on all my flat is .50....same for all my competition in this area.

I think Kelly comment on this in a older thread but what I remember Kelly saying is that the prizes have already been paid for and they are still available..Kelly is that correct? Thanks. Do you know if the flat product or folders advertise the contest? I'd rather the stickers and folders not say anything about the prizes at this point. I don't want to get involved with the contest since the company is going under. So, I'm not interested in promoting the contest. Just looking for some decent flat products at a good price. Nick505
I hear you on that. Even if the prizes are still available I don't think I would advertise the prizes either if the business is going down. Eventually the website and phone numbers will no longer work and kids are going to be disappointed. I have never used the win big flats so I am not sure how the prizes are advertised.
