Grazing Hippo Vending
Hi all! Are there any tricks to getting these heavy pipe stands from AA to thread fully? I can't seem to get these suckers to thread more than a few turns. I used WD40 on the threads but it did not seem to help much. Maybe Im just a sissy who needs to hit the gym a few more times a week?? Thanks for any help!
musser
Pipe threads are tapered and not meant to be screwed all the way in.They are made that way so they have a tighter fit.
sherlock
You won't get them to thread all the way. You should be fine if you get them at least hand tight. I always make it a habit to give them a turn when I service just to make sure they haven't come loose. I rarely find that they have. But checking while you service is not a bad habit to get into if it'll set your mind at ease.

Hillbilly
From my experience, the imported products do not have the same tolerances as the products manufactured over here. Better get used to it.
