Cozmokramer
Trying to help out a local community center for teens and hope someone can help! Their Dixie Narco 276 had a Gatorade bottle put in one of the 3 narrow columns. The cup at the bottom turned half way and got stuck because the bottle was too big. After about 20 seconds of being stuck the whole machine appeared to just power down. They popped a hole in the bottle, let it drain, then crunched it and removed it. The cup is stuck half way and doesn't rotate, and when the machine is plugged back in there appears to be no power now. Any help would be greatly appreciated, the kids love this machine! Walta
Is the Gatorade in a 20 ounce bottle? If this machine is an E model then you likely have the wrong shims installed for this product. If this machine is not an E model I would recommend you only vend 12 ounce cans. Walta
Cozmokramer
It is not an E, so the Gatorade bottle should have never gone in. One of the kids in the center filled it and shouldn't have. So now the issue is that when it's plugged back in, it doesn't seem to have any power - and the cup is half turned. After the jam, it took about 20 seconds before the machine seemed to shut itself down. A fuse? Something else?
AZVendor
In a single price machine, if one of the motors is off it's home position, that will disable the vend circuit which prevents the machine from taking any money. The column may still have a piece of plastic bottle stuck and jamming the rotor. Otherwise the motor would have cooled down from being jammed and restarted, turning to it's home position. Because yours hasn't homed itself, look for a stray piece of the bottle in the column. Do this with the power off so the motor won't start and smash a finger. If no part of the bottle is still seen (from top or bottom) or felt, then you might have a bad motor now, though that's unusual. If you need a replacement motor you can PM me for the part. Walta
Does your machine have display on the front that lights up and shows how much money has been inserted? If it has the display your multi price machine may have a blown fuse. If no display you have a single price machine. The motor that is not at its home position is likely over heated and will start working in an hour or 2. If not your motor may have been damaged. Cozmokramer
It's a single price machine I believe. Now when the machine is plugged in, there is no sound at all - would a bad motor prevent the compressor and anything/everything from turning on? Walta
A bad vend motor is unlikely to stop the compressor. Plug a lamp in where the machine is plugged in maybe you have no power to the machine. Try pushing the cam switch on the motor farthest left and see if it moves. Walta
donut
Sounds like you blew a fuse to the whole circut... Or maybe just tripped the GFCI......
