mmvend Posted January 17, 2014 Share Posted January 17, 2014 has anyone had issues with installing a crane telemeter cardswipe and radio in the 721 vendo soda machine. I have had quite a few issues with the machine not allowing enough time for the transaction to be processed therefore locking the machine up with the highest priced item. in my case $3.00. ive been on the phone with streamware and crane numerous times they are currently trying to figure out the problem. and the only way to temporarily fix the problem is to unplug the machine and plug it back in. AZVendor Posted January 17, 2014 Share Posted January 17, 2014 This sounds like this problem is squarely on the back of Crane if their card reader can't work properly with your machine. When you say the card reader doesn't allow enough time to process the transaction this doesn't really make sense. The card reader will authorize the card and put the credit on the display and wait for a selection to be made. When the selection is made, the card reader sends another authorization to confirm the purchase. Is this where it locks up? If so that is a problem in Cranes backoffice operation and you should disconnect the card reader to avoid problems until Crane fixes it. What happens if you push the End button? This may be ignored if you're in the secondary authorization status. Again, that would be a Crane problem. Have you run an RSSI reading to see if your cell signal is strong enough?
