AZwolf
I'm interested in joining the vending business, and to get my foot in the door I'm looking to my sister who is a Regional Manager for an Apartment company. Currently the apartment complex she is sending me to has a vending machine by the pool. My question is: 1) How well do apartments pan out? 2) Any special issues raised from vending @ apartments, like vandalism? Thx for your input

AZVendor
You will need to have hockey puck locks on the door and even a cage around the machine if possible to protect it. It's not a matter of if it will get vandalized but when. You just want to keep them from opening the door, everything else done to it can be repaired but a pried open door oftentimes cannot be fixed. Apartment complexes are good locations if they are large enough. The tenant quality will determine your sales volume as well as your damage and they usually go hand in hand.
