Royal Giii and Mountain Dew

Recommended Posts

To vend Mountain Dew 16.9 bottles do you use the can setup or the setup for bottles because of size? I have a new account that is all bottles but the owner drink diet mountain dew and it is vending 2 or 3 at a time.

You need to set your "set up" to two deep as compared to one deep for bottles and adjust the rear spacer accordingly if you're using a rear row.  There is also an arced rod accessed from underneath which should be adjusted for smaller items. Otherwise, there are no shims or other parts required to change product size.  This assuming you can fit two deep (not sure if the 16 oz bottles fit that way)

You will need to pull the rod out of the product deflectors (the curved paddles under the rotor of the column you want to use) after removing the thin cover from the rods on the front of the stack. If you want to change a rear column then you need to only pull the rod far enough to clear that column's deflectors, then move the rod into the unused holes which will change the paddle setting from large package to small package. There is a diagram on the inner door that shows this.

If you want to change a front column then you have to pull the rod from all 4 deflectors, adjust the front deflectors and then slide the rod back into the proper holes in the rear deflector. On a front column you'll need to adjust the right and left product retainers to fit around the bottle necks (front columns get loaded with caps to the front) and on rear columns you'll adjust the rear spacer to close any more than 1/2" of space, and caps go to the back.

In the GIII setup, small package applies to any product having the diameter of a 12 oz can like 16 oz cans, 16 and 16.9 oz water and 16.9 oz soda. A large product is anything with a larger diameter than a can.

This is what I thought I would have to do, thanks
