how to handle wanting to drop commission percentage...

what do you guys do when you have really underperforming machines out and you have to pay the manager high commission %(25-30%) on single headed gumball. is it bad form to try to lower percentage?

Will lowering the percentage actually make it average performing?  Or would it be better to just find it a new home?

Pull it and find a better location.

I feel that it's not bad to explain that the sales do not support the commission. Maybe a change of candy or a 4 selection head will help get the sales up. I hope this helps

25%-30% is high?!  Pull it and find a better location.

Unless it,s a really good location I,d move the machine. I always shoot for 10%, If it is a good location. Try putting in more machines with a lower rate. Tell him M&M,s cost more you can,t pay but 10% on them and other products.
