JGEASTERN
A company wants to lease my snack and soda vending machines to provide free or coupon vending to their employees in the break room as a perk for them. They would buy the product and stock the machines. They are a d /n 276e and an AP snack shop 6600. My other locations are all standard vending I buy and stock and maintain machines and keep all the revenue. I have not considered leasing prior to this. I own the machines and although old they are in good condition at this time. If anyone has experience with leasing and the pros and cons I would welcome the advise. I could use info on the going lease rate here in the NY metro area. Who is responsible for maintenance, lease terms etc. Thanks in advance for any input. Popular Post Southeast Treats
Subsidized vending is not common in a lot of areas but it is not bad. You have some options on how to do it. 1) Set the machines up for free vend and invoice them each time you restock. I would not let them restock their own, that will turn into a PIA as they misload then call you to fix the problems they create, or buy cheaper product around you. 2) You could also offer Pantry service with open racks and a reach in cooler instead of machines if they want to give employees unlimited access, but it sounds like they want to control it closer than that. 3) MEI/Cantaloupe validators can be set up to take their coupons for one vend per coupon, and the machines can still also take cash. And the coupons are reuseable until they wear out, so it cuts your expense. Employees can be given their coupon allowance by the company and visitors can still buy from the machine. Company would pay you per coupon, either in advance or after coupons are redeemed (either/or but not both!). I would collect in advance if I could so that you don't end up getting stiffed.

AZVendor
I agree, you sell them the product or it's a no-go.
