vavendor
We have a Hotel we service that is lucrative, but has experienced some attempted theft issues as of late. Our thought was to keep the account, but make it credit card only as 90 percent of the sales in it are cashless and it would eliminate the theft issue. My question is in regard to the coin chute opening. If we leave it uncovered, customers will attempt to insert coins. We plan on removing the coin mech. Is there a device made to plug that opening? We could cover the opening with a sticker or something, but we all know that is a temporary fix. I would prefer something that inserts into the opening and cannot be removed by customers. Thanks in advance for your help.
AZVendor
There is no device specific to that task. You would need to manufacture a plate to fit over it with bolts that protrude through the slot to be nutted on the back side. You would also need to put a NO CASH sign on the machine as thieves can't see the obvious and then still you can still expect problems because everyone wants your stuff for free. So keep it hasped and double or triple locked. Hotels are about the worst for theft and vandalism. Outdoor machines are just a step ahead of them. Good luck. Vendo Mike
If this is a Vendo V21 series, we now offer a cashless consumer panel that removes the coin insert and return button.
AZVendor
But it's probably a snack machine since it's in a hotel that likely uses full service Coke machines.
