redfleet32
I would like to get some recommendations on bulk vending software. I run 300 locations of candy machines. Single to three stands. Only about 30 heads of toys. I have only used spreadsheets that I have made myself. Names and Web sites would be helpful. Thank you.
mainor5251
I use vend-trak but its only because I was grandfathered in at a lower price, it a web based solution that has a lot of different fields and is customizable. Also check the classifieds I believe a member has released some software.

havending
I would not use a web softwear for my business. You should keep your sales data private. Who can view your data? Who do they share with? These are questions to ask your self. All you need to do is create your own spread sheets Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk
mainor5251
not sure of your current method but as far as data collection while on route I think route cards are a good idea that way you always got a hard copy of all info in case online files or software can not be accessed for what ever reason. heres a link from the download section for some I made up the other day, stole basic layout from another member and just tweaked it a little. left space at the top for hole punch. redfleet32
Thanks for the info everyone. I currently use a spreadsheet that I made myself and it seems to be working fine. I'm always looking for better Ideas! Once you think you know everything, you will never move forward. Thanks for the info everyone. The Mage
Oops, missed this one. I am working on some online vending software currently. Unfortunately going a little slower then I wanted, but it is coming along, and I think people will be impressed. Now it was mentioned not to use web software so you can keep your data "safe". I do not understand the complaint here. I manage my entire financial life online currently, and never had a problem. My software will be password protected, and use a very secure relational database that if anyone cares if HIPPA compliant. (Security required for the medical industry by law.) Plus the benefit of redundant backups. But I do have to ask, who is going to hack a vending website? And if they get your sales data, what would they do with it? Spreadsheets are a nice start, but spreadsheets are not designed to be used as a database. (This is referred to as a flat database design.) As data grows the weakness of such a system becomes more and more apparent. Anyway, when I finally have it online, it will have a full month trial, (fully functioning,) so people can see how it works before they commit themselves. Then people will be able to add time 3, 6, or 12 months at a time. 3 months for less of a commitment, and 6 or 12 months, which obviously will be cheaper per month. (Haven't set the price just yet, but all options will be cheaper then Warcraft.) I will start an "official" thread once it is available.

I do everything online these days from shopping to banking to paying bills and I am quite comfortable with the security measures in place. I'm not sure why everyone is so concerned about their business records in a program like this. First of all, no one cares where your machines are or how much money they generate so get over yourself. And if they do, so what. As for your data being safe from loss, you can lose data stored on your own machine even easier. Besides, online data storage can be backed up to your own computer anyway. The fear just doesn't make sense to me. Sent using Tapatalk for Android.
